Teduhan Kasih [ view in ENGLISH ]

Projek Teduhan Kasih adalah sebuah penempatan sementara (Halfway House) bagi penagih-penagih jalanan dan juga bagi bekas-bekas penagih yang baru bebas dari mana-mana pusat pemulihan yang belum. Kebanyakannya masih belum berkeyakinan untuk kembali ke pangkuan masyarakat sepenuhnya. Ia juga merupakan adalah Jagaan Lanjutan bagi residen yang telah tamat mengikuti Program Rawatan Primer di Rumah PENGASIH.

Di sini, residen akan mula didedahkan dengan dunia pekerjaan, menyambung pelajaran (Kolej, Universiti, Sekolah, Institusi Kemahiran, Kursus Jangka Pendek), berintegrasi dengan masyarakat tempatan dan ahli keluarga sendiri.

Pada setiap hujung minggu, Kelompok Sokong Bantu akan bersama-sama berkumpul untuk menyertai Kumpulan Sokong Bantu Mingguan.

Teduhan Kasih is a halfway house for former users who have just completed their rehab in any institution. Most former users lack the confidence to re-enter mainstream life. Teduhan Kasih provides the much needed psychological support through self-help groups in the premises.

Another activity of Teduhan Kasih is job placements. We source for small projects from city halls and companies. We manage the projects and offer employments to former users in such projects. The projects usually do not last long and are very hard to find. So we do seek employments for our clients in factories, trading houses and workshops.

Other than employments, some clients living in the half-way house opt to continue their studies, undergo short courses or skills training. For these cases, we help clients to ease the processes dealing with learning providers.

Teduhan Kasih is also the place where active drug users can seek help to end their drugging habit. We will provide them with counselling and refer them to the most suitable program according to their psycho-social profile.
